About Me
Hi there, I’m Cassie, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way to my blog. I’m a mom to two girls with a little boy on the way!
A few years ago, I made the leap from the classroom and counseling office to homeschooling my own kids, and I haven’t looked back since. As a former teacher, school counselor, and child therapist, I understand the pressure parents often feel when it comes to education—especially when the traditional school system doesn’t always align with what’s best for their kids.
I’ve taken a laid-back approach to homeschooling, blending unschooling, child-led learning, and just a touch of traditional academics. My goal? To create a learning environment that feels natural, fun, and empowering for my kids—and for me, too. Homeschooling isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about embracing the journey, trusting that we’re on the right path, and letting go of society’s idea of “success.”
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the idea of homeschooling, I get it. I’ve been there. But I’ve also seen firsthand how powerful it can be when we stop stressing over the details and simply focus on what our kids truly need: time, connection, and the space to grow at their own pace.
On this blog, you’ll find a mix of practical tips, personal stories, and a whole lot of encouragement. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been homeschooling for a while, my hope is to inspire and reassure you that you can do this—without all the pressure to “get it right.”
We don’t need to have it all together. We just need to be there for our kids, trust the process, and remember that everything will be okay. So, take a deep breath, relax, and know you’re not alone on this journey.
